Recycled Rubber Floors: Affordable, Durable and Eco-Friendly

Recycled rubber is a specialty here at Rubber-Cal. Compared to their synthetic counterparts, recycled rubber products are more affordable because they are less expensive to produce while also reducing a consumer’s carbon footprint. This type of rubber is made from post-consumer rubber products, primarily vehicle tires, which are shredded down into fine crumb and bonded together using a polyurethane-based binder. We use recycled rubber extensively in our inventory because it is affordable, durable, and eco-friendly.

Recycled rubber mats and flooring are extremely durable flooring options. It is a very durable material in terms of abrasion resistance, hence why recycled rubber flooring rolls and tiles are popular for use in gyms. Another advantage of recycled rubber is that it is suitable for use in the outdoors. Recycled rubber can be exposed to UV rays, ozone, and moisture for very long periods of time and still retain its physical durability and traction.

Recycled rubber is also unique among elastomers because it is an eco-friendly material.
